2024 has been an incredible and impactful year. Wine To Water has worked in 22 countries, provided entire communities with clean water access, pioneered new technologies, and connected with more people than ever before. This year has also been hard. As a Boone, North Carolina based organization, we experienced first hand the destruction brought by Hurricane Helene. Many of us lived without safe water access for the first time in our lives, understanding the complications brought from losing such a vital resource.
We saw firsthand how our community came together and rallied around each other, providing water and supplies. You stood hand in hand with us, donating water and supplies to support the hardest hit families in the area. Thousands of hours were spent volunteering, delivering resources, mucking out houses, and cleaning up nearby rivers. You have been with us the whole way, and we cannot thank you enough. It has been a privilege to serve our community alongside you!
We aren’t slowing down. WTW has always been a global organization with local roots, and we will carry our mission of providing clean water to ALL. This year is a bit different- locally, we are all feeling what it is like to live without clean water, and letting our hearts grow through this trying time, remembering this is the daily reality of over 2 billion people across the globe. EVERYONE deserves access to clean water and sanitation and hygiene resources, and we will continue to champion this in North Carolina and throughout the world.
