Creating community empowerment through water access and filtration programs.
In 2024, Wine To Water was given a ceramic filter factory known as PureMadi, originally launched by the University of Virginia, to grow the vision towards sustainable WASH (water, sanitation, and hygiene) solutions. This step marked the beginning of a new chapter, strengthening sustainable safe water programming and new opportunities for the region.
A baseline survey conducted in Hammanskraal by the WTW South Africa team revealed that more than 23,000 households, over 115,000 people, have severely limited access to clean water, with many relying on untreated sources. WTW is partnering with local communities to deliver safe, affordable, and lasting solutions to reduce the burden of unsafe drinking water.

Lives Impacted.

Communities Served

We provide access to safe water, sanitation, and hygiene education in under-resourced communities. Our team works closely with community leaders to ensure solutions are sustainable, culturally appropriate, and led by community needs.

We believe that local leaders know their communities best. In South Africa, our team of Social Mobilizers works hand-in-hand with residents to organize, train, and support neighborhoods.

WTW produces and distributes ceramic water filters to provide clean drinking water in areas without reliable access. Made in Hammanskraal, our filters are a sustainable solution for use in homes and schools.
At the heart of our mission is a deep commitment to community. Our team is proudly made up of passionate South Africans who understand the unique challenges, cultures, and strengths of the places they call home. We believe that real impact starts with local leadership, which is why those driving our programming are rooted in the very communities we serve.
